Eureka Nevada was founded in mid 1800's as a silver-lead mining town. As word spread of the riches in the mountains surrounding Eureka the town started to boom, with mining as the main industry. This attracted nearly 10,000 people who then resided in Eureka. While these people were flooding in Eureka High School, the Sentinel Museum Building, the Eureka Courthouse, the Colonnade Hotel, and the Opera House were all built. The riches ran out and Eureka turned into a historic remote town, the people left but most these buildings and old downtown still stand as part of Nevada history. During the time this 1950 bunkhouse was built. It was ran as a bunkhouse with no amenities but slowly became an abandoned house. But over the decades it has been a work in progress with electricity, some plumping, and mostly cleaning up done to it. It includes two parcels the one with the 1800 sq ft bunkhouse and another parcel with a garage/shed. As you can see in the pictures the house is gutted and cleaned out.
